The reason is that Apple had one of those popular events where they present new products, and people seem to be really excited about a 7 mm thinner laptop and a $10,000 watch. And Apple is on its way to become the world's first trillion-dollar company. But I'm not that excited.
Apple make great products, but I don't have a need for the latest version of them. The only Apple product I have is the iPad 1.0 from like 2011 (my $500 PC laptop is working just fine). My iPad is also working just fine even though it is almost 4 years old. It is by the way mainly an e-book reader and sometimes I read long articles on it from the web. The battery is still as good as it was when I bought it. The charging cable has a small crack in it, but that's not a big deal. What is a small problem however is that I can't update it anymore because Apple has stopped supporting it because it is too old. So I can't install new apps nor update old apps. But I think I'm going to survive...
